Eight Spotted Leporinus (Leporinus octomaculatus) 2"
Leporinus octomaculatus, commonly known as the Eight-Spotted Leporinus or Eight-Striped Headstander, is a species of freshwater fish belonging to the family Anostomidae (the toothed headstanders). Native to the Amazon River basin in Brazil. This species is increasingly popular in the aquarium trade due to its manageable size and unique markings.
Growing between 5-7" in captivity, they stay smaller than most of their relatives. Eating frozen bloodworms, mysis shrimp and brine shrimp as well as flake and pelleted foods. They have been in our care for over two weeks and are very healthy.
Great dither fish for South American Cichlids and plecos.
