Cajun dwarf crayfish are small, active freshwater crayfish with a lot of personality. They stay much smaller than standard crayfish, usually around 0.25"–1.5", making them a great choice for planted tanks, shrimp tanks, and species only dwarf crayfish setups.
Our Cajun crayfish are American bred and aquarium raised in our indoor systems here in North Carolina. They are not imported and not wild caught.
Color can vary quite a bit by individual, age, molt stage, lighting, diet, and substrate. Cajun dwarf crayfish may show brown, gray, red, or naturally patterned coloration. Photos are representative of our DwarfCray.com Cajun line.

Why Cajun Dwarf Crayfish?
Cajun dwarf crayfish are active bottom dwellers that spend their time exploring, grazing, and using hides throughout the aquarium. They do best in stable freshwater tanks with plenty of cover such as moss, plants, driftwood, leaf litter, caves, rocks, or other hiding places.
They are a fun option for keepers who want real crayfish behavior in a much smaller package.

Like all crayfish, Cajun dwarf crayfish need mineral content for healthy molts. Avoid copper-based medications and keep them with appropriate tankmates. Very small shrimp, fry, or slow-moving tankmates may be at risk with any crayfish.

We ship early in the week when weather is safe. Shipping may be delayed for extreme heat, extreme cold, holidays, carrier delays, or unsafe conditions.

Live arrival applies only when the package is received on the first delivery attempt. Clear photos of any DOA animals in the unopened bag must be sent within 2 hours of delivery.
