Malaysian trumpet snails are hardy, useful freshwater aquarium snails that spend much of their time burrowing through the substrate. They are great for planted tanks, shrimp tanks, crayfish tanks, and other peaceful freshwater setups.

You will receive live Malaysian trumpet snails from our indoor aquarium systems. These snails are aquarium-raised and kept in established freshwater tanks before shipping.

Malaysian trumpet snails are best known for helping stir the substrate, eating leftover food, grazing on biofilm, and breaking down waste in the aquarium. They are especially useful in sand or planted tanks where they naturally move through the bottom layer.

Why Malaysian Trumpet Snails?

Malaysian trumpet snails are one of the most useful cleanup snails for freshwater aquariums. They usually stay in or near the substrate during the day and become more active at night.

They help clean up extra food, keep the substrate from becoming compacted, and provide a natural food source for some snail-eating fish and invertebrates.

Malaysian trumpet snails are very easy to keep, but they can reproduce quickly if there is a lot of extra food in the tank. Their population usually reflects how much leftover food is available.

Live animal shipping is a $25 flat rate for eligible orders within the lower 48 United States.

We ship early in the week when weather is safe. Shipping may be delayed for extreme heat, extreme cold, holidays, carrier delays, or unsafe conditions.

Please make sure someone is available to receive the package on the first delivery attempt.

Live Arrival Policy

Live arrival applies only when the package is received on the first delivery attempt. Clear photos of any DOA snails in the unopened bag must be sent within 2 hours of delivery.
