Critical Mass Biophilia (formerly Critical Mass Aquatics) is a small, independent breeding operation in Eugene, Oregon, specializing in rare, uncommon, and threatened freshwater fish.
My fishroom is dedicated primarily to species that are difficult to find in the hobby, with a particular fondness for Corydoradinae and unusual loricariids.
I focus on a limited number of species at a time, maintaining established breeding colonies and raising their offspring carefully. My approach is straightforward: appropriate environments, stable water conditions, natural social groups, and no shortcuts.
Most fish offered here are bred and raised in my own fishroom. Occasionally, I also offer established breeding groups from my personal collection, clearly identified as such.
Rare fish. Serious husbandry. No mass production.
