Italian Tiger Aquarium Plant also known as Vallisneria Italian Leopard is a newer plant. It is a larger version of the Vallisneria spiralis with wider more robust leaves. They also have faint horizontal stripes or spots throughout the leaves which most likely gave it its name. These plants are ideal in use as a background plant or as a wave in a strong current tank.
