Acclimation: Simply float the coral for 30-60 minutes until the water in the cups are the same temperature as the water in your aquarium. Ensure your water quality is good by testing your salinity, temperature, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, calcium, and KH. Fix any problems while the coral is floating. You can then quickly remove the coral from the cup and place it near the bottom of your aquarium, in a safe location where it will not be knocked over by the current or other animals. Discard the water from shipping. Every week, you can slowly move the coral closer to the lights until you are happy with where the coral is. Bright light quickly after shipping can stress corals.
Live Arrival Guarantee: Please reach out to us immediately if a coral arrives dead or damaged due to shipping. Simply send us a picture of the coral in the shipping container (do not remove it from the water for the picture). Most corals close up during shipping and open slowly over several days. We will happily refund or replace corals that arrive dead. A dead montipora will look solid white (like a bone!) and turn brown/green/grey over a few days as algae grows on the skeleton. If it turns brown during shipping or in your aquarium, it is still alive and can turn back to red!
