These calcium treats are made from my own simple recipe. Just pure calcium carbonate and organic, grass-fed beef gelatin. Nothing extra, no fillers. The gelatin adds protein, collagen, and amino acids that help with growth and shell strength.
Each bag lasts a long time depending on how many tanks you have. Most aquariums only need one treat after a water change (adjust for your water’s KH).
If your water is soft or you have a lot of snails and shrimp, you can add a treat once or twice a week.
Any leftover calcium slowly dissolves into the water, raising KH naturally. If your tank has low flow, just stir the area to mix it in.
Snails need calcium for strong, clear shells. Without it, their shells can thin, chip, or crack and they’ll live shorter lives.
Shrimp also need calcium for safe molting and to prevent deformities.
Cuttlebone often has added vitamins or coatings that aren’t safe for aquariums. These are clean, pure, and melt in slowly I even toss a few into my turtle’s tank.
Perfect for:
Bladder Snails, Nerites, Ramshorns, Mystery Snails, Trumpet Snails, Assassins, Rabbits, Crayfish, and shrimp.
Land snails can enjoy them too! just soak to soften or place in their water dish.
