This sale includes 20 thick pieces of 6” Cholla with a diameter of roughly of 1 1/4” and up. I have Cholla wood in all of my shrimp tanks and I do believe it is a must.

Cholla wood provides a place for bio film to grow which is the number one food for shrimp.

The wood provides a natural hide out for recently molted shrimp and berried females. It will gradually lower ph and soften water as well. These are nice thick pieces and should last quite a long time in your tank. You can even use them for a place to attach moss and plants like Anubias and Buce.

When your shrimp, pleco bottom dweller etc. is done you can use a turkey baster to remove the in eaten food. This sale include 1 6” piece of thick cholla wood with Hooker moss growing attached. This makes it easy for you to grow this uncommon moss. The hard part is already done, simply place this piece of cholla in your tank and watch it grow. Hooker moss is a not so common moss that will grow vertically creating a bush like appearance. The plants were grown in one of my shrimp tanks.
