“Combo Sponge”
This Sponge filter provides both mechanical and biological filtration in a separate function. The biological filtration takes place in the inner column that is filled with clay beads. This means when you want to clean the sponge, you no longer half to worry about destroying the biological media, as the sponge is the mechanical filter and you can even clean it in chlorinate tap water with worrying about destroying the bacteria, as the main core stays in the aquarium while you remove the sponge to clean it.
This filter also does not snap together as all pieces are threaded! This filter can handle a medium bio load up 55 gallons. It will depend on what and how much you order and what your zip code is that will determine shipping cost. I can fit up to 3 in the box.
