Live food is essential for maximum fry survival rates, rapid growth, and vibrant coloration. This quadruple-culture bundle covers all your bases:
• Vinegar Eels & Microworms: Ideal first and second foods for tiny, newborn fry.
• Moina: Perfect for slightly larger fry, juveniles, and adult nano fish.
• Green Water: Excellent for "infusoria-grade" fry too small for baby brine shrimp, while naturally consuming nitrates and phosphates in your culture setup.
⚠️ CRITICAL ARRIVAL & CARE NOTES
Tank Readiness & Acclimation: Please ensure your aquarium is fully cycled before introducing your new fry. We use professional breathing bags to ship livestock.
⚠️ WARNING: Do NOT float breather bags in your tank, as this blocks vital oxygen exchange and can harm the fish. Drip acclimation or direct release after temperature equalization is recommended.
Vinegar Eels: Highly resilient but translucent. If shaken during transit, hold the pouch up to a strong flashlight to see the heavy, shimmering cloud of wiggling worms.
Moina (The Egg-Dropping Advantage): Moina have a short lifespan (~21 days). If they experience shipping stress, adults may die off, but they automatically drop eggs to guarantee colony survival.
DO NOT THROW THE WATER OUT if it looks crashed. Dump the entire culture into your container; the dropped eggs will hatch rapidly within a couple of days.
Green Water: Living organisms react to the dark. It may look slightly yellowish out of the box. Place it under a bright light or aquarium LED for 24 hours to wake up the cells and restore the deep green color.
Microworms: If the medium looks settled, let the cups sit at room temperature for 24 hours. The worms will quickly begin crawling up the sides, ready to be scraped and fed.
