This is a listing for a group of 3 Coptodon Bythobates! They are an extremely niche and critically endangered fish native to only one volcanic crater in Cameroon. They are extremely pretty in my opinion though and relatively easy to keep, so they make a good little preservation project for really anyone who would be interested!
The fish you will be receiving are around 2 inches (give or take for the individual) right now. This species is virtually impossible to sex until they have paired off so I will only be selling them as unsexed as of now. They’ve been pretty peaceful in my experience and relatively easy to keep and raise. I just have them in my tap water which is a ph of 7.6 (they would prefer probably no higher than this), a temp of 78 and a TDS of ~250. They readily take all kinds of foods: pellets, flakes, frozen, freeze-dried, and have been raised on all of the above!
Shipping will be either 2-day for a flat $25 or overnight for a flat $60. They are shipped in double-insulated boxes with ammonia blocker and oxygen and a heat or cool pack if needed. DOA guarantee as long as pictures of the deceased fish (and any alive) in the unopened original packaging is sent within 2 hours of the first delivery attempt.
I do have a pretty large group of these guys right now so if you’re interested in more or less than 3, or want to know what else I have at the moment, you can always reach out to me at foxtailaquatics@gmail.com
I just want to send these little guys and gals to some good homes and keep this species thriving in the aquatic community!
