Beautiful true Black Knight Rams shipped from San Diego. These subadults measure at least 1 inch head-to-tail.
Black Knight Rams are a striking dwarf cichlid with a moderate temperament, making them suitable for aquarists of all experience levels. They thrive both in species only tanks and peaceful tropical community setups.

My photos are of my stock of rams, not the parents. The fish you receive may be younger then the photos, and may have a lighter belly, this is normal for their age, and will darken as they grow older.

Fish are packed in an insulated box with heat pack when needed, using oxygen-filled fish bags
When receiving your fish please open the box in a dimly lit room so they may adjust to the light. I recommend a slow drip acclimation and if possible add a air to bubbler to their container while acclimating to ensure the water is properly oxygenated, my water is extremely soft; please if you have hard water be extra careful to slowly acclimate them.

These rams adapt well to most dechlorinated U.S. tap water when properly acclimated. I recommend drip acclimating over at least an hour if your hardness or pH are significantly different then mine.
