This listing is for 1 Colocasia illustris Starter pond plant. The plant will be approx. 3 to 5 inches, and shipped bare root(no pot, no soil). Photos are to show what mature plants look like, the one being offered is a small starter plant as stated above.
Colocasia illustris is an Elephant Ear plant that grows 3 to 4 ft tall when mature. The leaves have a faded black top and a green burst like pattern in the center, adding interest to your bog, water garden, or ornamental pond. This Colocasia is not as aggressive as the common green variety. When it spreads, it stays in tight clumping mats. Great for medium to large ponds and especially bog filters, where the roots will absorb and trap debris in the water. This plant will be shipped bare root, making it perfect for placing in your water feature.
