D37 is a number from Daniel Mejía's catalog of Colombian apistos. In 2024 we collected this fish with Daniel himself, in the headwaters where it lives. It still has no scientific name.
Gentle, a little shy at first, then out and about once it has cover. One of the easier apistos to actually enjoy.
Care: Dwarf cichlid, cave spawner. Soft, acidic water, pH 5.5 to 7, TDS 50 to 150, 70 to 78°F. Adult size 2 to 4 inches. A 15 to 20 gallon tank with caves. Eats flake, baby brine shrimp, and frozen bloodworms.
You are receiving one F2 pair (1 male and 1 female), bred here from the wild fish we collected in Colombia in 2024.
