African Dwarf Frogs are small, fully aquatic amphibians best suited for intermediate hobbyists. They are social and do best in groups, ideally in a species-only tank. These frogs are predatory, feeding on small live or frozen foods like blackworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia—always sized appropriately to prevent choking.
They require easy access to the surface to breathe and should be kept in water no deeper than 20 inches. A secure lid is essential, as they are excellent jumpers and escape artists. Ideal water temperature is 72–78°F. With proper care, they typically live around 5 years.
