Naturally dried acorn caps hand-collected right here in Kentucky — a unique and versatile botanical for shrimp keepers, betta enthusiasts, and blackwater aquarium builds.

These acorn caps are hand-collected from the forests and woodlands of Brodhead, Kentucky — no pesticides, no commercial processing, no middlemen. They're naturally dried and carefully sorted before packaging. Buying local means a smaller carbon footprint and a product with a known origin, something you just can't guarantee with mass-imported botanical.

How to Use:
Rinse and clean thoroughly and then add directly to your tank — caps will settle quickly and begin releasing tannin gradually. For a more controlled dose, steep in hot water first to make a tannin tea before adding to your tank. Leave them in until they break down naturally; shrimp will graze on them throughout.
