Description

You are bidding on 8 young adult Rhadinocentrus ornatus from Snapper Creek that are F2/F3 generation. For the F1 generation, I bred with the wild red color morph male in the photo and two black/blue females. For the F1/F2 generation I bred with the red color morph male in the photo and F1 females, that had red tails. The generation I have for sale have almost all red tails and various degrees of red on their body (quarter to half of the fish body).  The juvenile fish are from last summer and are at the age of 9 months, ready to breed. Photos shows my breeder male which is the red color morph. This video shows the fish for sale https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADyuLIFc8pk Here are my breeder fish https://youtube.com/shorts/ADyuLIFc8pk?feature=share The dominant color form in Snapper Creek is pure black with blue rays in the dorsal fin, but there are also blue, green and red fish in lower frequencies. For more information and photos become a member of ANGFA and see the following publication: Adrian Tappin & Leo O’Reilly. Rhadical Rhads. Fishes of Sahul Vol 33 (1) March 2019. The fish can be bred for all three color forms (red, black (with metallic blue) and green) depending on how you select. You will get both males and females so you can breed the fish. More fish are available for the winning bidder. For more information on the fish I breed please visit my band sites for plecos https://band.us/n/a4a389s0c0o9I, hillstream loaches https://band.us/n/ada083s6c5o31 and rainbowfish https://band.us/n/a8aa8fs9c5o7h

8 juvenile Melanotaenia etnaensis, super rare
For sale are 8 juvenile Melanotaenia etnaensis collected at Etna Bay in Australia by Heiko Bleher many years ago. This fish is very rare in the hobby and grows about 4” in length. The underside of the body exhibits a spectacular array of colors I have not seen in any other rainbowfish species. I received eggs of this species from Gary Lange in January 2021. Now, I have a very limited number of juvenile fish for sale. The fish are about 1 inch in size at the moment and cannot be sexed yet. For ...

You are bidding on 8 juvenile Melanotaenia sp. Lengguru that are tank bred/raised by me and are at the age of 4-6 months and about 1” in size. I received my fish from Wim Heemskerk. The photo shows one of my breeder males at about 2.5” in size and showing off that typical, large and beautiful anal fin. A few additional fish are available for the winning bidder. You are bidding on 8 juvenile Melanotaenia ajamaruensis fish that are tank bred/raised by me and are at the age of 6-7 months and about 1.5” in size. They look like M. boesemani but are a separate species. You can distinguish them by counting the number of soft rays on the second dorsal and anal fins.Second Dorsal Fin: M. boesemani usually has 12–13 rays, while M. ajamaruensis has more, typically 15–17.Anal Fin: M. boesemani usually has 18–21 rays, whereas M. ajamaruensis has 22–24. 8 juvenile Glossolepis maculosus
For sale are 8 unsexed juvenile Glossolepis maculosus: a very rare rainbow fish that was initially collected by Barry Crockford in a small tributary of the Oomsis River in northern Papua New Guinea in 1979, and later by Gerry Allen who brought the fish to Australia (for more information visit https://rainbowfish.angfaqld.org.au/Maculosus.htm). Heiko Bleher collected them from the Ramu River later and introduced them to Europe. One year ago, Lucas Bretz was the only keeper of the species left in ...
