You are bidding on 12+ eggs of Rivulus ribesrubrum SMNC 2023-09. These eggs are HUGE and can take weeks to develop and hatch (as much as a month). Eggs will be shipped on cotton wool in a petri dish. Eggs need to be moved to water to incubate and I suggest regular water changes and agitation to encourage hatching of the eggs. The fry are large and hardy. These fish are egg-stranders and will try to deposit their eggs close to the water line. My fish eat anything offered (they subsist on Ken's granules). They are not particularly aggressive towards each other. Eggs are shipped by USPS ground advantage (~$7) or priority (~24). If desired, I can ship in an insulated box with room temperature cold-packs to keep the temperature stable. Proceeds of this auction go to funding Rivulus research: DNA sequencing of killifish for phylogenetics and the description of new species ($100/4 gene sequences).
