They have had a couple of successful spawns and are preparing for their next one. The female is very protective. Even though they do not have a current spawn, she attacks anything that comes close. This includes my water change hose, fingers or glass sponge. I do not believe dither fish are necessary!
Please note that they require conditions similar to those of Discus...Temps in the 80's, pH of 6.5 or lower, low TDS and regular water changes. They accept BBS, small pellets, freeze-dried, and quality flake food.
