STRAIN SPECIFIC NOTES
A captivating mix of color and patterns. Dominant gold and blue hues over a dark base body. Often with a gold capped head and shimmering eyes. This strain was developed by Mai Medaka (舞めだか) in 2021. As with any fish offspring can have a high degree of variability. However I have found that this line is surprisingly stable for a Ulysses. I have personally found that 80% of fry are of a high grade.
HOW TO CARE FOR MEDAKA
Medaka are a very easy fish to care for. They thrive in outdoor ponds, and are accepting of a wide range of water parameters. They eat virtually all food that can fit in their mouth. That being said, this is a premium strain and additional steps should be taken to ensure they thrive. Maintain satisfactory water quality, and keep temperate in the ranges of 50 - 90 degrees F.

One extra fish will be added to cover potential DOAs. Additionally, YOU MUST SELECT NEXT DAY AIR TO BE COVERED BY DOA PROTECTION. Fish shipped via 2nd day air will not be covered. You must send two pictures the DOA fish, one inside the bag and one outside. Pictures must be sent within one hour of delivery.
