Polymeric absorbers are highly effective, versatile materials used in water treatment for the removal of color, organic contaminants, and heavy metals. These materials, including synthetic resins (e.g., styrenic polymers) and natural biopolymers (e.g., chitosan), offer high surface areas, tunable surface chemistry, and strong chemical/mechanical stability, making them superior alternatives to traditional activated carbon in many applications.

For removing organic substances before they are broken down into ammonia thus putting less stress on the nitrifications cycle. It is exceptionally good on removal of Tannins producing extremely high water clarity like it was treated by a diatom filter.

This product will help with planted aquariums aquariums keeping the water Crystal Clear for better light penetrations – thus photosynthesis.

Since this product is a macro-porous synthetic polymer  and not functional (no ion exchange) it can be cleaned by putting the product in one liter of water with one full cup of salt. You will see depending on how long you use the product how dark the water will be. After that rinse, add the polymer and then add 1 part bleach to seven parts of water to achieve the white amber color back on the polymer.
