READ THIS BEFORE BIDDING ON MY AUCTIONS

MY TERMS

1st off, I am not a business. Just a hobbyist that likes to share fish with like minded hobbyists. I am not in it for the money. My prices reflect this. When you consider the cost of collecting, acclimating, feeding and houseing, buying supplies such as bags, nets, food, tanks, and all that goes with these things, you will see that I make no profit. Not to mention the time it takes to do what I do. I do it because I love the aquarium hobby and enjoy sharing the native fish.

I do not like dealing with people who do not communicate. Communicating is a two way exchange of ideas and thoughts. When I email someone I usually look for a response. Likewise, when someone emails me I ALWAYS respond. It takes less than 3 minutes of your day to answer an email. If you are a poor communicator I will put you on my ban list and will never deal with you again.

Regarding FEEDBACK. I like good feedback. I like giving good feedback. I am no longer going to give gratuitous good feedback unless a buyer deserves it. If you are a poor communicator, if you are slow on the payment, if you are a high maintenance buyer, I simply won't fill out the feedback for you. If you are an ass I will give you poor feedback.

Here are my terms and this is how I do things. By bidding on my auction you are saying you agree to these terms. There can be no complaining if you disagree after you bid. You have read, and you agree to my terms if you bid.

1. I ship on the Monday following the auction unless the auction states otherwise. Not the 2nd or 3rd Monday, but the Monday following the auction. If you win I expect payment BEFORE MONDAY. If you do not pay before the Monday following the aucion, the DEAL IS OFF.

2. I only accept PayPal. I do not engage in the PayPal E-check thing. If you bid and win my auction you must pay with PayPal and I must have payment before the Monday after the auction.

3. I use USPS Priority Mail. There are no exceptions.

4. After the auction I will contact you. I will give you an email address to use for PayPal and you will pay. After that I email you again and give you the details of shipping and I always double check your shipping address. I expect a 2 way dialogue here. If you cannot do that then don't bid. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER BEFORE YOU THINK SOMEONE HASN'T RETURNED AN EMAIL OR HASN'T CONTACTED YOU.

5. Extras. I generally send extras. Do not expect them and do not ask.

6. Guarantees. There are none. If a particular auction warrants it I will post it in the auction. Otherwise there are none. When I box the fish up and send them they are healthy and thriving. I have no control over what the Post Office or anyone else does with the box and cannot guarantee they will arrive alive. They do in nearly every instance. It causes me great distress when they don't. Read the next part carefully regarding how I will handle a situation should your fish arrive DOA.

7. DOAs. If for some reason your fish are DOA it will be solely up to me as to what will happen. If you are an ass, if you are beligerant, if you are a poor communicator,,I will do nothing. You are screwed. Otherwise I will do one of two things. I will either reship fish to you the following Monday, Free Shipping. Or I will refund your money. It's that simple. I am not bound to do anything, if I do it will be my choice and no one elses'. Read the next part carfully as well.

8. Reporting DOAs. You will need to report the DOA immediately. Not an hour later, not the next day. The Post Office records when the package is delivered. I will have an exact time. I expect you to be there to receive the package. If I hear from you over an hour after the package has been delivered, I will not help you. Read the next part carefully to find out why.

9. Your responsibilities. You are buying fish. Fish are live creatures. You are responsible for their lives. If you order from me you need to take that role seriously. You need to be available to receive the live fish WHEN THEY ARE DELIVERED. Do not let the sit in a mailbox, the porch, the neighbors kitchen table,,and then tell me the fish are DOA. DO NOT ORDER FISH FROM ME IF YOU CANNOT BE THERE TO RECEIVE THEM. PERIOD

A LITTLE BIT MORE

The above might seem a bit harsh, it really isn't. The terms are based on common courtesy (communication), common sense (reading and following directions), and simply caring (Being available for to receive your fish). I don't like having to list terms,,,it is too much like a business, which I am not. But the percentage of people on Aquabid who make life difficult for those of us who enjoy it necessitates me doing so. Do not bid if you cannot agree with these terms. It's that simple.

I ship my fish in Kordon Breather Bags. These need to be handled differently than regular poly bags when you receive them and you should read up on them if you are not familiar with them. I am available to answer any questions you have.

I do not use any chemicals in my tanks. The fish you receive from me have not been exposed to Prime, Stresscoat, salt, or any similar product. Using them with fish bought from me may cause their steady decline and eventual death. Educate yourself about what these products really do and how they are bad for our hobby. Hint: the companies that sell them aren't going to tell you the truth.

I use live food primarily with all of my fish. They are supplemented with various frozen foods and very rarely they will get crushed quality flake food. Learn to hatch brine shrimp and use it. It is the best live food available despite what people sometimes say. It is easy, clean, takes up very little room and tiny mouths will benefit greatly from it.

I am available to answer any questions and like to chit chat so don't be afraid to email me.
