Strife's Realm

About Myself
I've been keeping fish since the age of 12. What started as a fascination with the aquatice life in the local stream developed into a fascination with tropical community fish, which further evolved into a fascination with South American cichlids and tropical Asian fish... which since has spiraled out of control and become an obsession for African cichlids and South American catfish. I hope and fear to one day develop an interest in salt water fish... I am currently experimenting with a 20L saltwater which hasn't really sparked any enthusiasm in me yet, but who knows. I currently have 2 breeding strains of Frontosa: WC moba (gibberosa) and burundi. 1 breeding strain of angelfish: Koi. Several strains of peacocks: eureka red split gene, alb. eureka red, and alb. baenshi. 3 different strains of bristlenose: standard and lf browns (breeding), standard and lf alb. (near breeding), and standard and lf calicos (I can't seem to keep these guys alive long enough to get breeders). A breeding group of petricola and a young group of cory cats and sajica... along w/ various plants and guppies. I enjoy keeping fish and enjoy sharing fish with others. I am a strong believer of providing quality fish at affordable price for all. I don't think a person should have to pay an arm and a leg for fish. Like many aquabidders, I don't think much of people that charge the 3% fee onto buyers for using paypal. That is a service fee that the user is responsible for paying as part of the binding contract for using the paypal service... and yes it is illegal to impose it on buyers. But the worse kind of sellers are the kind that bids on their own auctions to extort a higher ending price... by the way if that's you here's a little advice, use the reserve option that's what it's for... to sell only if you meet your reserve.

Shipping and Guarantees...
I prefer paypal payment (paypal email: Donny909@hotmail.com) since it is the quickest form of payment and I can have the fish shipped out to you sooner. I usually end my auctions on a Friday or weekend and have the fish conditioned for shipping the following Monday. Please let me know when you want the fish shipped out, so I can adjust my conditioning. Also please have the payment sent ASAP. I will only ship Mon - Weds, so keep that in mind as well when bidding.

I usually charge a flat rate for shipping unless otherwise specified on the auction and I usually use USPS since I find it is an affordable form of shipping. I don't see the sense in shipping through pricier carriers like FedEX, DHL or UPS (although if preferred I can switch carrier at buyers cost) when the greatest factor in the survival of the fish is the packaging, and not so much the carrier. Although I put the utmost care and respect in packing my fish, accidents such as DOA do occur, as such I have certain guidelines that I follow.

Please read carefully and note. For auction that guarantee live arrival, this can be 1 or 2 days depending on the matter of auction. Fish must be received by person and opened at time of confirmed delivery via tracking, no exceptions. Any DOA must be clearly photographed and sent to me via e-mail within 2 hours of delivery. I will guarantee DOA if the bag is unopened only. What does a clear photo mean? No flash or undistinguishable fish... flash will cause glaring which further makes the fish less visible. If you can't tell what's in the bag, chances are I won't be able to either. Please take pictures in well lit room. Take multiple pictures with all bags of dead fish showing the whole bag and then individual close ups. Please e-mail the pictures within the 2 hour window or guarantee will be voided. Please follow the guideline of DOA pictures or guarantee will be voided. Please be home to accept delivery or guarantee will be voided. Refund will be adjusted depending what dies and how many dies. Shipping is non-refundable, no exceptions. If I have extras available buyer has the choice of me compensating for the loss by shipping out more. I will ship using the same method of shipment at my cost, however second shipment will have no guarantee attached to it keep in mind.

I use my best judgement when shipping out fish and put a lot of care into bagging and conditioning the fish prior to its journey to your doorstep. Please treat them with the same care and love once you receive them. Please don't bid on my auctions if you're not serious about following through with the sale or if you don't have the adequate space to house them. Otherwise bid away!
