The Cultured Reef was conceived with the idea to lead people through the often confusing and contradictory methods of setting up and maintaining a reef aquarium. We also believe in conservation of our Oceans and the coral reefs we so dearly love. We set up a coral growing facility in Ft. Pierce, FL where we are nurturing approximately 50 species of rare and Limited Edition corals for future fragging and sale. We also offer a limited number of products for sale that we test and use. If we sell it we are using it in our everyday opperation.
My bio.
In 1946, when I was 9 years old, my father finally relinquished and bought me a 2 1/2 gallon goldfish bowl. that was the beginning of a life long quest of the aquatic world. From freshwater through the '50s and '60s to exclusively saltwater from 1974 to date. We went retail in 1968 and had maintenance accounts, too. In 1987 we went wholesale offering Acrylic aquariums and other hard goods through WI, IL, IA and IN. In 1996 I closed that business down due to a change in ownership and a different direction in business. In 1997 I began designing the web site,
