Maintaining proper Carbon Dioxide (Co2) levels in the planted aquarium is one of the most important factors in the health of the ecosystem. A Co2 drop checker is an essential tool for monitoring CO2 levels in the aquarium. The Co2 drop checker is a reservoir designed to contain an indicator solution and an airspace.

1. Use solution directly from the dropper bottle or use the free included pipette, pull 1.5 ml of the pre mixed liquid from the bottle and transfer to the drop checker bowl, about full. The pipette has been shortened for the pictures, you will receive a full size one. Do not use tank water in your drop checker, the results may not be accurate.

2. Now invert the assembly being careful not to spill the fluid.

3. Next, holding it level, mount the checker anywhere on the glass inside the tank 1 or 2 inches down from the water line so that air is trapped in the vessel. Check the color in a hour or two and make adjustments to your Co2 flow. Solution should be changed every 30 days.
