Double tested to be 4dKH

Instructions For Use:
Fill your drop checker about 1/2 to 3/4 full with the 4dkh solution. Then add your ph drops (Bromothymol Blue, not included) to you drop checker, about 4 or 5 drops or until you get a nice deep blue color. Then just put the drop checker into your tank, about 3 to 4 inches below from the water surface. Wait for it to change color, usually about an hour or so. Down load the color chart for future reference, you'll always have it available to use or print. Never add aquarium water.

Green is usually 20-30ppm, which is an ideal level of CO2. If your drop checker remains blue then your CO2 level is too low and you need to increase your CO2 rate. If your drop checker turns yellow your CO2 levels are too high and may cause harm to your fish & inverts, so turn down your CO2 rate.

If you are using a DIY CO2 method (ie yeast) and you have too high of a CO2 level in you tank you can off gas the excess CO2 by increasing surface movement. This can be done by either raising up your filters output to cause more surface movement or by aerating the water with an air stone.
