Regional A USPS box styro panels

(polyiso rigid foam board)

4 Sets of Panels for four(4) boxes

(Boxes available at USPS .com)

Regional A styro foam insulation shipping panels. One box requires 6 panels: top, bottom, two long sides and two short sides.

I have been cutting these panels weekly for 18 years for our family business shipping live aquarium products.

Years ago, when I found myself cutting styrofoam everyday, I looked into what the cost would be for our business to just purchase styrofoam boxes. Wow. I was shocked at the cost and continued to cut the styrofoam boards. This saved our business overhead and kept our costs to our customers as low as possible! Nowadays, my styrofoam cutting is streamlined. I can prepare the insulation much easier.

Although I do not cut the panels freehand, you may notice an uneven fit to panels, areas where foam is absent, or areas where the metallic backing has come off.It has been our experience, over the past 18 years, through customer feedback, that boxes will stay temperate, with a heatpack added in the very cold months or an ice pack in the very hot ones, even when I have noticed these irregularities.

Furthermore, sometimes,USPS boxes are glued in an irregular fashion...makingboxes a bittoo small or too roomy from their proper measurements. At these times, I have used a ruler to trim1/8"offsmall side panelsin order to make them fit. If the box seems too roomy, I close the box tightly, holding the flaps as close together as possible while taping snugly.

I do always cut the small side panels 1/8" longer in order to make them fit snugly in a properly glued USPS box. We do desire a snug fit!

Enough 1/2" panels for 4 Regional A Boxes
