DESCRIPTION: Kanamycin Sulfate is an antibiotic which treats gram negative bacteria including fin rot, tail rot, septecemia, as well as fish tuberculosis (also known as Wasting's Disease). Kanamycin Sulfate is one of the only antibiotics that is easily absorbed through the skin, so is frequently used for internal problems. Especially good for aerobic gram negative bacteria like columnaris. Kanamycin is not affected by pH and is an ideal treatment for marine aquariums, but is also suited for freshwater fish tanks. Treats vibrio, pseudomonas and resistant tuberculosis. It is safe for prehistoric fish and the ideal antibiotic for betas. Packaged in moisture-resistant resealable zip-lock container. This medication is 100% pure, no additives or fillers. DIRECTIONS FOR AQUARIUMS: One level scoop for every 2 1/2 gallons of tank water or 1/4 teaspoonful per 20 gallons, once every 24 hours with a 25% water change before each treatment. Treat at full strength. A full course of treatment is dosing for 8-10 days; 30 days for fish with tuberculosis. 50 grams will treat 2000 gallons of tank water. DIRECTIONS FOR AQUARIUMS OVER 50 GALLONS: 1/4 teaspoonful per 20 gallons, once every 5 days with a 25% water change before each treatment. Treat for two applications. CAUTIONS: For aquarium and ornamental fish only. Not for human consumption. Keep out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention and call a poison control center immediately. Do not use this product with UV sterilizers or ozone. Activated carbon should be removed from your filter system during treatment. Keep in a closed container and in a cool dry location. Do not use with fish intended for use as food. Not safe for invertebrates.
