IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...

Auction is for 30+ eggs of the beautiful African annual killifish Nothobranchius kilomberoensis TAN 95-4, packed in peat. Incubation time is about 14-16 weeks at room temperature. These are recently picked, so it will be some time before they are ready to hatch. Fry will accept microworms and newly hatched baby brine shrimp shortly after hatching; juveniles and adults thrive on most frozen and live aquarium foods, and will accept some flake or micro pellet foods as well. Additional eggs available.

Like fire and ice: kilomberoensis have ice blue eyes that can be seen from across the room, ice blue and fire red patterns on the body and fins, and then a fire red tail. Title picture is of male from preceding generation; females as usual show very little color or markings. An easy killifish to keep, and moderately easy to breed. Occasional jumpers; keep 'em covered.

Parameters: I don't use heaters, so tanks are in the low 70s in winter and high 70s in summer. Our water is moderately hard (140mg/l) with a pH of 7.5, and I add one tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons. TDS is about 200 out of the tap, but my addition of salt brings it up to 1000 or so.

Shipping: I ship to CONTINENTAL US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Eggs usually ship the Saturday, Monday; or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $10.00 per shipment for Priority Mail, or $30 for Express Mail. Multiple egg purchases can be shipped together or eggs can ship with fish for no additional shipping charge.

Payment: please pay by paypal within 3 days of purchase. I usually send out an email within a day of auction end, but feel free to email whenever you wish. I would prefer to send a paypal invoice, so please let me know your quantity and shipping choices. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.

Replacement: Some eggs do not survive the rigors of shipping. If you get a zero or meager hatch after their due date, I will either replace or refund the price of the eggs. The most dangerous part of their trip is often the time spent sitting in the mailbox or on the porch. If you unable to be home for mail delivery, please consider having the parcel held at your local post office for you to pick up. Shipping charges are not refundable.
