Description

GregMan again, this time with 2 pairs of a rarely seen African annual Nothobranchius, N. flammicomantis "Kisaki" FTZ 10-21. These fish are about 5 months old and laying eggs in the peat moss. They are a little bluer than the picture would suggest, but I'm still figuring out my digital camera. How often do you see these in an auction? How often do you see any Notho except as eggs? This is a pretty little fish with an incubation time of 3 months. It spawns readily (for me) and eats anything, although to keep them in spawning condition they need frozen food. They don't live that long so spawn them when you get them, you might only have a few months. They are about 1 - 1 1/4 inches long, with the females maybe half that size. They are in my regular tap water (pH 7.4, 150ppm) to which has been added 1/2 tsp. marine salt per gallon. The salt is important as Nothos are very susceptible to Velvet. Shipping is $10 for Priority Mail, or $30 for Express Mail. I cannot guarantee live delivery except for Express Mail. Nothos don't like going without food for more that 2-3 days. I ship Mondays and Tuesdays only so your fish won't sit over a weekend in a Post Office. Good luck bidding!
