You are bidding on a group of 4 tank raised Peckoltia sp. L494 "Rio Paru", unsexed and sized 1.75” TL or better. I got my breeders, as young, from a spawn from well known breeder Stephan Tanner of Swiss Tropicals who originally introduced this fish to the USA from Germany back in 2009. At that time and until Dec. 2016, they have been known simply as Peckoltia sp. "Rio Paru" (Brazil). In the Dec. 2016 DATZ Magazine (page 23, article by Ingo Seidel), you can find that they were issued the L-number of L494. (If you email me, I can send you that article). More info can be found on them in Ingo Seidel's book; "Back to Nature Guide to L-catfishes" on page 171, photo #2. My photo below shows some of their looks, adult male top left showing his heavy odontodes growth for breeding, the bottom right an adult female and the bottom left is a younger fish sized at 2" TL and similar to what you are bidding on. The winner of the auction will have the chance to buy some extras at the winning bid price per fish.
Remember these are healthy, tank raised fish, being naturally spawned and raised in aquariums in our own hatchery, NOT stressed out, emaciated imported fish (which are often misidentified) that just arrived in the USA and are ready to die! These are NOT pond raised or farm raised using artificial methods either, as some others call “tank raised”!! We like to say... Proudly Pennsylvania Produced™,
Only method of shipping offered is USPS Express Shipping for $50, Serious bidders, BEFORE YOU BID, Email me your shipping zip code for delivery times as some USPS Express is a 2 day delivery.
High temperatures may delay shipping of fish
Live delivery will be guaranteed, as long as someone is present to receive & sign for shipment on the first delivery attempt. (Please make sure fish are unpacked & tended to upon arrival, as any DOA must be report to me within an hour of package acceptance. Photos of DOA in original, unopened bag required.). If using the “hold for pick up” option or a PO Box, packages must be picked up within 2 hours once available at your post office.
Live delivery is guaranteed to you, but I DO NOT GUARANTEE THE DELIVERY TIME! This means I guarantee you get live, healthy fish, if they arrive an hour late or day late, but alive and in good condition, you do not get any money back for the late delivery.
I do not use USPS Priority Mail (and please don't ask me to, saying you will take the risk!) because they are so unpredictable and unreliable. I have already had packages in the past take up to two weeks to get delivered; I will not to take a gamble with living things!!! Let us avoid any problems, headaches, arguments and hard feelings just to try and save a few dollars!!
Again, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org BEFORE YOU BID if you have ANY questions about the shipping or ANY other possible questions. Payment must be sent within 5 days of auction end, PLEASE! PayPal or United States Postal Service Money Orders accepted only. There will be a 3% additional cost added to the final total once shipping is calculated in, this is to help cover some of the banking, service and handling fees that I get hit with! THANKS FOR LOOKING AND MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT ALL MY OTHER AUCTIONS, COMBINE WINNING AUCTIONS TO SAVE ON SHIPPING COST! Check out my feedback...it says it all about my fish & items and the way I do business!
