Chlorine Remover Sodium Thiosulphate This is what I use for my 125 plus tanks during my weekly water changes. There is really no good reason to use the expensive water conditioners unless you have the dreaded Chloramines (chlorine plus ammonia). I mix up an quart at a time using a shot glass (one fluid ounce measurement - see my photos below) and add a teaspoon of that mixed solution to each 55 gallon tank (using multiples for larger tanks). This product is wonderful because in our use it is almost impossible to overdose a tank (it is sometimes used in high doses for other uses). I use a bottle with a small squirt opening (like a yellow cheap type mustard bottle but it is actually an old rubbing alcohol bottle) and a 1/2 second squirt is about a teaspoon = 5ml) It is very cheap to buy but expensive to ship. Here is the best deal I can come up with - using the small flat rate box for Priority USPS shipping, I can stuff 2.5 pounds into it so your cost are more reasonable for a total of $19.95 with FREE SHIPPING. Unless you have as many tanks as me and change as much water as I do (75 percent every week) you'll probably never need to buy any again for a very long time. I can send a smaller amount IF you want me to, just send me an email and let me know how much you want and your zip code and I'll sharpen my pencil. I will not need to do my normal Tuesday shipping rule on these (as I do for fish as these do not need to be 'fasted') so I can ship them the day after payment is made.
