Free Measuring ScoopLot # 92011 - Expiration Date 05/2015
DESCRIPTION:For internal and external parasites such as gill flukes (trematodes), flatworms (tapeworms - cestodes), and possibly fish heartworms. Can be used in freshwater or saltwater aquariums and ponds. Safe for use on all species of fish (including fry) and invertebrates. This product is much safer than other anti-parasitic medications and is non toxic to plants and harmless to biological filtration. Packaged in moisture-resistant resealable zip-lock container.
DIRECTIONS FOR EXTERNAL USE:One level scoop for every 1 1/4 gallons of tank water. Four level scoops for every 5 gallons of tank water. 1/4 teaspoonful per 40 gallons of tank water. Calculate the dosage required and mix up the powder in a small bowl with a few drops of vodka (ethyl alcohol). Mix into a paste and add a small amount of aquarium or pond water. Add this mixture to the aquarium or pond. Treat one time and leave the Praziquantel in the water for 7 days. Treatment may be repeated if necessary. 10 grams treats approx. 950 gallons of tank water. One tablespoon is approximately 2.9 grams and will treat approximately 300 gallons of pond water.
DIRECTIONS FOR INTERNAL USE:1/4 teaspoonful per 100 grams of frozen food. Thaw food, mix in powder. Then put food in a zip lock bag and lay flat in the freezer until frozen. Feed once a day for 5-7 days. For dry food: To each 100 grams (3.5 oz) of dry food (flake, granular, or pelleted) thoroughly mix in 1/4 teaspoon of Praziquantel. Moisten the dry food with 25 to 50 ml of grain alcohol for each 100 grams of dry food. Gently blend the moistened food to incorporate the Praziquantel into the feed. (Caution: grain alcohol is flammable.) Allow the food to air dry (do not heat). Break up any clumps, package and properly label the food mixture. Store in a cool, dry place. Feed the medicated food daily for 5 to 7 days.
CAUTIONS:For aquarium and ornamental fish use only. Not for human consumption. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep in a closed container and in a cool dry location. Do not use with fish intended for use as food. Remove any activated carbon from filters before medicating. Ozone, UV sterilizers or water foam-fractionation should be turned off during treatment. This medication can be removed from tank water with water changes or activated carbon. DO NOT use with any other drugs or treatments. Melefix may be used with this medication.
