3 Needle Leaf Java Fern Plants on Cholla

Great alternative to regular Java Fern, the leaves can get really long, are much narrower, especially in lower light, and give a dark green grassy effect. Grows just as easily and quickly.

The first 2 photos show two angles of what is for sale in this listing. These were tied to the cholla when they were just tiny sprigs and left alone. They have grown into 3 nice young plants, seem firmly attached and are ready for their new home. The black synthetic lacing will be left on for shipping but you should be able to cut it off as soon as you receive the plants. But it's fairly inconspicuous and leaving it on won't hurt anything.

Shown in a 6qt 'shoebox' approx 6" x 12", one square on the grid is 2/3" so 3 squares equals 2" and there is a US quarter for scale. WYSIWYG, photo taken 6/11.

The photo below shows a comparison of regular Java Fern and Needle Leaf. Those 2 little plants were growing side by side in identical low light conditions. Needle Leaf puts out much more narrower leaves.

The photo below shows a typical newly started plant that still has some of the old very long leaves from the mother plant. That is what you can expect the new growth to be like once they are established in your tank, very long and willow-y. I've had leaves up to a foot long.

If you just want a few small sprigs or unattached plants, I may have other listings up or feel free to contact me.

LAG if delivered within 3 days and local high temps are ≤90F.
