Needle Leaf Java Fern

Your choice of plant #1 or plant #2. Winner may purchase the 2nd plant for $14 if desired.

Great alternative to regular Java Fern, the leaves can get really long, are much narrower, especially in lower light, and give a dark green grassy effect. Grows just as easily and quickly.

These were originally grown floating and fairly close to the light which causes the leaves to stay shorter and the plants to grow very densely. The 3rd photo below is what they look like when they are started from the mother plant and still have some of the old very long leaves. That is what you can expect the new growth to be like once they are established in your tank, very long and willow-y. I've had leaves up to a foot long.

The plants are tied to the cholla slices with black synthetic lacing which will be left on for shipping. The plants are beginning to attach to the wood however I'd recommend leaving the lacing on for another month or so (it's quite inconspicuous and doesn't really need to be removed at all).

Shown in a 6qt 'shoebox' approx 6" x 12", one square on the grid is 2/3" so 3 squares equals 2" and there is a US quarter for scale. WYSIWYG, photo taken 12/1. Clicking on the collage should open a slideshow of the full sized images (stays in same window).

If you just want a few small sprigs or unattached plants, I may have other listings up or feel free to contact me.

Term details are on my Just Me page which was updated Aug 27, 2018. Read it before bidding or buying.

Payment is through PayPal only (you do not need an account, just a credit or debit card), no e-checks. When paying with PayPal, you must use a shipping address, my account is configured to only accept PayPal Confirmed Addresses and I only ship to the address given in PayPal. Payment must be completed within 3 days.

Shipping will be Priority Mail, packed in water and in an insulated box but without a heatpack. This is appropriate for brief exposure to temperatures below freezing. Costs are as shown below. Low temperatures significantly below freezing will require a heatpack (and much bigger box so the plant doesn't get cooked), you can see a graphic with those costs HERE. If you are unsure, ASK.

Extreme and/or unseasonable weather may delay shipment.

Local pickup can be arranged at 462 Washington St Woburn MA 01801, weekdays, late afternoon.

LAG if delivered within 4 days and local low temps are >26F.

My other plant auctions can be shipped with this at no additional cost (excluding hornwort).

Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!
