Description

Auction is for one Floating heart like in the pic below. (Nymphoides peltata)Floating-heart forms a floating foliage and flowers on the surface of the water. If you have ever wanted a water lily in your tank but did not want it to shade everything else or if your tank is too small for a tiger lotus this IS what you were looking for!!

The bright yellow flowers of the floating-heart appear quite early in spring and continue through summer. The rounded, heart-shaped leaves look much like water lily leaves but on a smaller scale, as they only get about 3 inches across.

Floating-heart is an EASY plant and thrives in medium low to high light. It also works well as a pond plant..It can be planted shallow like in the pic or it can be planted MUCH deeper. If it is planted deeper it will send a thick shoot up at an angle to the surface and it will develop additional plantlets along its length until it finally reaches the surface.

these can also be used in a vivarim or terrarium or as a bog plant as they will grow emersed and stay low to the ground and trail forward. They will not bloom if grown emersed BUT they do look cool.

These are young plants from seed but are on their second year of growth and will bloom very shortly.. Plants will be shipped bare root.

Auction is for one plant but you can purchase additional plants for 2.90/each.
