This auction lot: Species: Vallisneria nana aka Australian Val
Quantity: 6 8 +
Size of plants offered: 8 10 with a few up to 24
More available at winning bid price: yes
Care/notes: Great background plant. Grows quickly under medium light. Does not require CO2 or expensive lighting does well under ordinary aquarium lighting. These plants are grown in 20 gallon highs under double strip shoplight fixtures with 6500K T-8 florescent bulbs. They are potted in Azalea pots with an inch of plain topsoil covered with up to 2 of plain sand. These plants normally grow to about 8 to 10, but occasionally grow quite a bit taller. The literature says they can reach 30, though most of mine have stayed much smaller with only a few older plants reaching 24 or so. This species differs from other Vals by having a thinner, darker green leaf as compared with the others which are lighter green and quite a bit wider. Like other Vals they grow by runners.
Shipping and Handling via USPS Priority Mail is a flat $6.00. Up to four plant auctions can be combined in one shipment to save on shipping costs. Each additional plant auction won adds just $1 to the total for Priority. Plants ship for no extra charge when shipped with fish auctions won!
I will accept all major credit cards via the secure website of PayPal.com, which also offers buyer protection for you. I prefer and recommend PayPal, but will also accept a Money Order.
Payment must be RECEIVED within 7 days of the close of auction. I will ship the next business day after payment is received or the soonest day that is best for you and compatible with the weather. For the health of the plants, I will not ship during extreme weather conditions.
