Description

Blyxa japonica is found in many top winner tanks of ADA aquascaping worldwide contests. Why is it such a favorite among them? The reason is simple: this stem plant has a unique grassy like appearance, forms a dense hedge and does not send out invasive runners to its neighbours. Its moderate hights makes it a good midground plant and contrasts nicely with small leaved foreground plants like Glosso. etc.

It is not a hard plant to keep in your tank. It needs moderate to high lighting. CO2 and nutrient rich substrate are recommended.

To propogate, simply replant a sideshoot.
