Description

-Classic aquatic plant varieties for the bog garden and water garden- to maximise the value of a usps parcel, picked and packed fresh, direct from the grower!

Three Medium or large flowering size hardy Waterlily in bloom

(Please specify which size may be preferred)

Three different hardy waterlilies, available nowhere else, exclusive hybrids.

Not harshly cropped small side crowns, full size blooming plants! Medium size lilies spread lilypads up to five feet wide, large varieties might spread wider.

Start with 6" - 12" of water over their crown, the growing point where roots go down and lilypads and blooms go upwards.

Any heavy, fertile dark loam with a moderate proportion of clay mixed in works well to start a waterlily. When a waterlily shows a lapse in blooming, consider fertilising with tomato spikes, taking care not to trigger algae blooms.

Hardy waterlilies cope fine with Winter, set below the freeze line of ice on a pond. Take care ravenous hordes of hungry fish or ducks don't eat graze too hard on early waterlily foliage, consider starting your lily in a protected position when it begins to grow in Spring

As with all other descriptions, these plants are grown in ponds with no fish present, in waters routinely treated to ensure no nasties such as water lily crown rot are likely to turn up unexpectedly...
