Description

This auction lot is for a quarter pound of clean Java moss. That�s approximately 4 oz after the water is shaken out, or enough to nearly completely fill a 5 gallon tank! This Java moss has been �cleaned� � that means it�s been treated for snails, hydra, and other nasty beasties so that I can use it in breeding and grow-out tanks. Once the fry start growing, I add red ramshorn snails and/or small Neocaridina shrimp to the tank to help clean up. This cleaned moss will be from those growout tanks, so there might be a few small red ramshorns or small shrimp in it, but no other critters. There might also be a few stray leaves of susswassertang mixed in.

For those of you who want to know what species of moss this is, I can�t say for sure. I�ve had others tell me that it is Taxiphyllum barbieri , but I can�t confirm that.
