This aquabid listing is for one 5"x5" when wet portion of Java moss. I have shown some example Java moss both in water and not in water. I ship it without water to make the package lighter. The 5"x5" is measured with water. I have also shown example bags of Java moss with light from behind it so you can see the density. Growth conditions: I grew this moss in my unheated room temperature aquariums under a maximum of 100 lumens of light per gallon aquarium in two feet deep water. For example 5,000 lumens over a 55 gallon aquarium. If you try to grow Java moss in heated water or in stronger light, for example 11,000 lumens over 55 gallons for 200 lumens per gallon, then cladophora algae will outcompete the Java moss. Java moss appears to absorb both ammonia and nitrate from the water and can eat either. Fish flakes for example will work as Java moss food. The shipping cost is already included in the cost of the auction.
