Description

We have multiple breeding tanks of freshwater shrimp. Well, shrimp love Java Moss. We started with 2 golf ball sizes, got really busy and frankly neglected our tanks, and now we have too much moss! Java Moss is a common aquarium moss that can be left to float or can be attached to rocks and/or driftwood. It does not require any special attention and grows easily once established with no special lighting needed. It is commonly used in shrimp tanks to provide bio-film and cover and we use it with our crayfish as well. Some people use it in fish breeding tanks to provide cover for fry. This auction is for approximately one ounce (4.6) of healthy java moss. We just don't want to throw away all this perfectly good moss. Our goldfish enjoy eating it too (but they make a mess and clog our filters with the bits.) It will be shipped moist but without standing water so it will be a bit flat at first but will spread out in your tank in time. Shipping is $6. We have a lot more to go so let us know if you'd like more! Shipping will remain the same up to the amount we can fit in the padded envelope. All shipping will be done on Monday or Tuesday of the week following the close of auction.
