Description

This auction lot is for a 4 x 6 fish bag full of clean Java moss. That�s a little over 4 oz (113 grams) after the water is shaken out, or enough to nearly completely fill a 5 gallon tank! This Java moss has been �cleaned� � that means it�s been treated for snails, hydra, and other nasty beasties so that I can use it in breeding tanks. Once the fry start growing, I add red ramshorn snails to the tank to help clean up. This cleaned moss will be from those growout tanks, so there might be a few small red ramshorns in it, but nothing else.

For those of you who want to know what species of moss this is, I can�t say for sure. I�ve had others tell me that it is Taxiphyllum barbieri , but I can�t confirm that.
