Description

Fissidens fontanus (Pheonix Moss) is a moss that originated in the United States. It is a true aquatic and gained popularity due to its elegant leaf structure. It is a low light plant and undemanding. This plant is highly used in shrimp tanks and shrimp are seen grazing among the leaves. This variety is also known as Pheonix Moss which originated in the United States. It is known to have slow growth but acclimates easliy after 20-30 days. It clings naturally to the attached substrate (wood, stone, etc) and frequent retying is not required. It is naturally slow growing and can be tied to driftwood to create a naturally looking mossy driftwood. My plants are grown in tanks that receive 8 hours of light, a pH of 6.0 7.0 and no CO2 injection. You will receive a 2x2 portion, larger than the overseas sellers portion, plants will arrive in excellent shape and not dry /brown. The adapt time will be shorter and plants will easily settle into a new environment. Item will be offered here for $12.00 with free shipping.
