MEDIUM Moss Balls

Moss balls are ESSENTIAL for all planted tanks because they compete for the same nutrients as algae.

That means Moss Balls PREVENT ALGAE!

I get asked all the time how many should I get?  Well after years of trial and error and feedback from customers, even ones with HUGE algae problems, I think 1 Medium ball is perfect for a 20 gallon tank and 3 are PERFECT for a 75.

Moss Balls ARE EASY to care for.

All you have to do with a moss ball is drop it in.  It may float if it's full of air so squeeze out the bubbles.  It will sink and provide an instant place for shrimp to hang out on.  It will probably have some cool crap like infusoria in them that fry will grub on like killies.

To maintain a moss ball, simply remove them from your tank and squeeze them either in your tank, or for the worry worts, into a bucket and toss them back in.  Do this when you squeeze your sponge filters.  This will keep the moss ball tight and compact.  Otherwise as they grow (which is SLOW) they will hollow out and could fall apart.

Which is how you can separate them if you like.

I could sell you one of these which I get $8 each for at a show and probably sell for ridiculous prices at a LFS if they even have them this big.

But I am offering you 4 of them the size of a baseball.
