Description

Riccia fluitans is a floating bladderwort, one of the most popular and desired foreground plants in aquarium hobby.

It is an easy plant to grow, suitable for hobbyists from newbie to experienced. It is because of its ability to thrive in a wide range of environments, from medium soft to very hard water, pH ranges from 6.0-8.0 and temperatures. Moderate lighting is sufficient for good growth and CO 2 injection is not required. However, higher light coupeld with CO2 will produce a lot of beautiful "pearl"s on their delicate branches.

The most effective and common use of this plant is to attach it to rocks or driftwood with hair net/fishing line. Soon it will cover the rock/driftwood! In a similar fashion it can make a unparallel beautiful foreground carpet.
