8 oz portion of Amazon Frogbit

Live Amazon Frogbit - Limnobium laevigatum
enough to loosely fill an 8oz container. Usually more than 20 plants.

Frogbit is a hardy floating plant. It grows very fast in clusters of round floating green leaves spawning a new baby plant about once a week in ideal conditions, the roots will drop down from the center of the cluster and grow longer when nutrients are scarce. The large plant size makes it MUCH easier to maintain (prune/remove and prevent infestation) than small floaters like duckweed while still having the same benefits.

Frog bit is excellent in breeding tanks, shrimp tanks, and ponds. It provides good hiding and shade for fry and babies and the fast growth does well in reducing nitrates.

*Note on pests*: I remove bladder snails and duckweed any time I see them in my fish room. They should not be present on any plants I ship (or own). But be it weeks or months between sightings, like a bad case of herpes they seem to show up unexpectedly. I recommend you rinse and inspect any plants (including these) before placing in your tank as an extra preventative measure.

All livestock has been bred and raised in my fish room. No fresh imports, and none of the �bonus� pests and diseases that come with fresh imports.
