Description

This auction lot is for a quarter pound of Hornwort, Ceratophyllum demersum. It is a very popular working plant for the fishroom, and its delicate beauty is welcome in planted tanks and outdoor tub gardens as well. This beautiful bright green floating plant is perfect for spawning livebearers and for cover for fry in breeding and grow out tanks. It grows quickly and does well with medium light. It does not require CO2 or expensive supplements, but it does best in hard, alkaline water. In soft, acidic water it falls apart pretty quickly.
