bioAquatiX Hornwort (Ceratophyllum Demersum) Hornwort (Ceratophyllum Demersum) is a popular aquarium plant with stems that reach lengths of 3–10 ft, with numerous side shoots making a single specimen appear big and bushy. Individual male and female flowers are produced on the same plant. The flowers are small, 2 mm long, with eight or more greenish-brown petals. This species is often used as a floating freshwater plant in both cold water and tropical aquariums, though they will attach themselves to the substrate or any other solid objects in your tank or bowl. Hornwort works well in bioBowls and nano tanks with a temperature range from 60F to 85F. It's easy to grow and maintain and does not require high levels of light. We ship on Monday and Tuesday every week. Orders received or pay on Tuesday will be shipped the following week. We currently do not ship when the weather is below 40 F during the day in the customer area. BioAquatix reserve the right to determine when is the best day to ship your product when the weather and possible other factors are in play. There is no box charge. We do use O2 on all shipments. We do use 72 hours heat packs when necessary. All fish are purged for at least 48 hrs before shipping. We recommend using USPS hold for pick up when the weather is getting cold lows in the 40 F at night. The coldest time for the shipment is in the truck on the final leg of the trip. No guarantee live arrival when using USPS priority. We do replace the live fish, but customer will pay shipping again. We only guarantee live arrival on FedEx overnight.
