Description

This auction lot is for a 3 x 6 fishbag full of Valdivia Duckweed � Lemna valdiviana. This is a very tiny duckweed, about a quarter the size of regular duckweed. It is one of the smallest of all flowering plants, though there are a few smaller. It is native to much of North America. It makes a great live food for plant eating fish, including many barbs, goldfish, rainbows, several cichlids, and many other fish. This beautiful and easy to grow bright green plant works well as a floating plant. It grows quickly and does well with medium light. It does not require CO2 nor expensive supplements. While an excellent for a breeding tank or for a specialist tank, I would not recommend it for an aquascaped tank as once it is in there, it will be almost impossible to remove if you ever change your mind.
